Tooth Extraction for Children
Step 1: examination and consultation
The dentist examines the child's mouth and decides whether the tooth needs to be removed. Parents receive advice on the treatment, including which teeth and how many need to be extracted.
Step 2: cleaning and local anaesthesia
The mouth is thoroughly cleaned of food debris and disinfected to reduce the risk of bacteria entering the bloodstream. The dentist then gives a local anaesthetic following the standard protocol.
Step 3: extraction
The extraction is performed in a sterile treatment room with modern equipment — gently and as minimally invasively as possible, so the wound heals quickly and the child stays comfortable.
Step 4: aftercare advice
After the extraction, the dentist prescribes pain relief and anti-inflammatory medication if needed, and explains to parents how to care for the child's mouth at home and which foods to eat or avoid.
